Vitiligo: NLRP1
Microarrays
Microarray information was searched for by using the programGene Expression Omnibus (GEO) [1]. Unfortunately, data related to vitiligo and its effect on autoimmune response could not be found using any of the query fields with the following keywords: NLRP1, NALP1, Caspase-1, or vitiligo. However, studies have been published where NLRP1 expression has been examined. Below, I have included information from a study focused on Vitamin D's effect on bronchial smooth muscle cells.
This graph is showing the effect of treating bronchial muscle cells with a ligand for the vitamin D receptor (VDR). Genetic variants in VDR are associated with asthma. Here, cells treated with the VDR show a significant increase and growth in response to Vitamin D.
Below is microarray data in the form of a Cluster Heatmap. I was unable to find information corresponding to NLRP1 or its listed synonyms on this map. I am unsure why this is, as the study does mention that NRLP1 is a gene affected by this experiment.
